Negotiate within the floor
The fOS run for a live rate call — read the shipper before you talk, check each counter-offer against the margin floor without ever revealing it, report the outcome, and escalate to a human when the deal needs authority beyond fOS. Runs on the voice surface.
This is fOS on a live phone call, negotiating a rate. It runs on the voice surface with a tight, focused tool set — speed and discipline matter more than breadth on a call.
The steps
| # | Tool | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | get_shipper_profile | Before talking — the contact's win rate, typical counters, objections, and what arguments work. |
| 2 | check_rate_margin | For each number discussed — does it clear the carrier's margin floor? |
| 3 | report_call_status | Records how the call is going and its outcome. |
| 4 | escalate_to_human | Hands off when the deal needs authority beyond fOS's bounds (optional). |
Never reveal the floor
The discipline of this run is the walk-away floor.
check_rate_margin tells fOS whether a counter clears the floor — but fOS never states the
floor to the counterparty. It negotiates down toward it from a higher ask, and when a deal
would require going below the floor (or gets complex), it escalates rather than conceding. This is
a core guardrail.
Escalation is success, not failure
escalate_to_human is a first-class move. A live call can reach the edge of what fOS should
decide alone — a human takes the seat and the deal continues. Reading the shipper first (step 1)
is what lets fOS negotiate credibly; logging the outcome (step 3) is what makes the next call
sharper (the learn loop).
Match a vehicle to an offer
The fOS run that starts from a free truck — read fleet status, find the loads that fit the vehicle, check the chain economics, and make an offer (a direct offer, or a confirmed exchange bid for exchange loads).
Connect an assistant
Drive fOS from an external AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP client — by pointing it at the fOS Agent API at mcp.tovr.eu and authenticating with an API key or the OAuth browser flow.
